Getting Started with Us

Whether you found us through a professional referral, word of mouth or a leaflet, we’re here to support you on your caring journey.

When you first get in touch, one of our friendly team will give you a quick call to carry out a Wellbeing Check - a relaxed 15-minute chat about your caring role, any concerns you have, and the support you might need.

If you're happy to register, we'll send you a Welcome Pack, and you’ll be able to access:

  • Social groups and wellbeing activities

  • Fire service home checks and energy advice

  • Assistive technology support

  • Information, guidance and referrals to other specialist services

You don’t have to take up any support right away - it’s fine to register "just in case" for the future.

We can also connect you with expert advice on things like benefits, housing, dementia or autism support, and more.

If you're a young adult carer (16–25), you’ll also be invited to join our friendly social group, The Inbetweeners, for fun, relaxed activities and opportunities to connect with others in similar situations.

If you’re facing urgent challenges, a member of our Family Resilience team may give you a follow-up call to talk through your situation and, if needed, refer you for a Carers Assessment via Family Connect or your social worker.

We are your central point of contact for carer support in Telford and Wrekin, here to guide you, connect you, and support you every step of the way.
