Fundraise For Us

Caring for someone often means putting others first—physically, emotionally and financially. Many carers give up work or other opportunities to provide essential help that’s too often overlooked.

In Telford & Wrekin, around 18,000 people (10–11% of the population) are unpaid carers, and a quarter provide more than 50 hours of care a week. We support around 5,000 carers of all ages, offering vital services throughout their caring journey, whether they are aged 5 or 95.

Across the UK, 5 million unpaid carers provide care for family or friends, saving the economy a staggering £184 billion each year, almost the value of a second NHS. And many struggle: 1.2 million carers live in poverty, and over half report financial stress impacting their mental health

Your fundraising helps enable our ongoing services, from advice and support to respite and wellbeing activities. With your help we can ensure every local carer gets the recognition and care they deserve.

Fundraising and Support

There are lots of ways to support carers – from holding a coffee morning or sponsored event, to donating in memory of a loved one or leaving a legacy. Local businesses can also get involved through donations, sponsorship or employee volunteering.
